SYSTEM OF A DOWN Halt Set After Barrier Collapses
January 18, 2002SYSTEM OF A DOWN were forced to halt their Big Day Out performance on Friday in Auckland, New Zealand, when an audience barrier at the front of the stage apparently collapsed. Although no injuries were reported in the incident, organizers temporarily stopped the show two songs into SOAD's set to prevent another tragic event like the one that resulted in the death of a teenage LIMP BIZKIT fan in Sydney, Australia, last year. After a 20-minute delay (during which New Zealand band SHIHAD played their show on the arena's second stage),SYSTEM OF A DOWN returned to complete their set.
